Currently, Cambodia has suffered from the spread of COVID-19, so far, according to a report by the Ministry of Health, 87 of them are foreigners and Cambodians. But the ministry also revealed that two people have been recovered, including a Chinese national from Wuhan and a British national who were traveling from Vietnam.
There have been no reports of a COVID-19 dies at this time. This shows that the Cambodian medical team has been working hard to heal. But it is important that Cambodia receives assistance from China, a population of people who have masks, materials and medical expertise to come to Cambodia today, all of which demonstrate cooperation between Cambodia and China and especially Cambodia within the ASEAN and Mekong-Lancang.
The timely help mentioned above is to shake the heart and heart of the Cambodian people who are in need. Through this assistance, the Cambodian people and the people of China are closer, especially showing that the suffering of both peoples has been paid attention by both the government and the leaders.
As a matter of fact, it is clear that Cambodia, through Samdech Techo Hun Sen’s visit to China, was in China when it was infected by the virus in Wuhan, and the world was afraid of China. Showing support to China, now, Cambodia has received the First Chinese Aid – while Cambodia has infected 87 cases.
I sincerely hope more Chinese aid will be sent to Cambodia. What is important and really does not go wrong when Cambodia has a good relationship with China, and China cares about it. Of course, and not being able to cope with difficult times, China certainly did not hesitate to send aid to Italy and other countries such as France, but within ASEAN, Cambodia received Chinese assistance. First of all, the China-Cambodia friendship is as important as the two leaders’ shared commitment. Health spoiling everything together as good neighbors, good friends and good brothers.
The timely Chinese contribution to the fight against COVID-19 in Cambodia, I am most proud and happy and hope that the Cambodian people are warm. And through this joint battle, in the near future, the COVID-19 will be defeated in Cambodia, as in Wuhan, Hebei Province, China.
Of course, China’s help in combating the coronavirus (COVID-19) to Cambodia is a symbol of Asean and of great importance. Of course, we expect other countries in ASEAN to receive assistance from China, especially our neighbors Thailand, Vietnam as well as Vietnam, which has suffered from Corona, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Not only does it show good cooperation between Cambodia, China in the bilateral or Mekong Lancang framework, it also shows the strengthening of ASEAN-China. The current ASEAN-Cambodia-China cooperation is important and expected within the ASEAN framework, as recently the Cambodian government has initiated the ASEAN-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on combating Corona virus. It also encouraged the initiative of ASEAN leaders. Therefore, China’s assistance is now in response to the recently launched ASEAN-China Combat Fight Initiative in Laos.
After that, it would be possible to reach the summit of the ASEAN Summit and the leaders of ASEAN and China, and then the scale of the assistance would be increased, but now Vietnam, the host of the Asean, has been delayed for months. However, the level of Chinese assistance to the ASEAN region as a whole has shown greater strength in the region. The strategic partnership between ASEAN and China.
Lastly, I have the impression that the Chinese friend is a friend who goes beyond the clear description that came to our rescue on time.
And the effort, after which the COVID-19 aid is over, and other assistance for developing or strengthening relations between the two countries will continue to increase, especially after every bad thing has ended. Chinese tourists will be coming to Cambodia to help revive the country’s economy.
We expect that the comprehensive steel and strategic friendship between Cambodia, China, in the bilateral framework, ASEAN and the Mekong Region will be further enhanced.
May the Cambodia-China Friendship ties that have been established during the time of His Majesty King Norodom Sihanouk and previous Chinese leaders, and until the current King of Cambodia and current leaders, will continue to be doubled. We must unite against all the obstacles in our country’s relations, especially this COVID-19 soon to be destroyed. I wish the friendship between the two countries would last forever.
