Plus, see all the heavenly dresses that Dior custom-made for the blushing bride
On 16 September, Thai superstar couple Kimberley Anne Woltemas and Mark Prin tied the knot after eight years of dating at a scenic lakeside wedding on the shores of Lake Como. Leading up to the joyous occasion, Woltemas was openly sharing her excitement for the celebration—sharing intimate shots of the couple’s pre-wedding shoot. Surrounded by family and friends, the wedding also saw the attendance of Thailand’s biggest stars, including their close friends and engaged couple, Nadech Kugimiya and Urassaya “Yaya” Sperbund.
The multi-day soiree summed up in a few words? A bridal dream straight out of Pinterest. Floral centrepieces were pared down yet cheerful, champagne was flowing, and the views of Lake Como were unparalleled. While the rehearsal dinner did see a bit of rain pouring down, that didn’t stop the lovebirds from enjoying the scenic grounds of Villa Bonomi. The brief for the bridesmaids was an ethereal and sophisticated shade of sage green, designed by Thai brand Canitt Official.https://www.instagram.com/p/CxQjFh_PJTi/embed/?cr=1&v=14&wp=540&rd=https%3A%2F%2Fgrazia.sg&rp=%2Ffashion%2Fkimberley-anne-woltemas-dior-wedding%2F#%7B%22ci%22%3A0%2C%22os%22%3A2118.6999999955297%2C%22ls%22%3A451.5%2C%22le%22%3A1915%7D
While the grandiose occasion in Italy may have had every bride-to-be drooling, we had our eyes glued to the bride’s wardrobe that was brimming with Dior. As the house ambassador, it only seemed fitting that Woltemas entrusted the Maison’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri to dream up the dresses for her special occasion.
Couture excellence underscored Chiuri’s vision for Woltemas’ bridal wardrobe—with the main ceremonial dress embodying the sophistication and elegance of the timeless bride, along with three other dresses worn in the days leading up to the ceremony. Lace and embroidery—the pinnacle of couture dressmaking was a hallmark of the main dress; a long sleeved number adorned with floral guipure, complete with a delicate embellished headband.
As for the three nuptial dresses, they were surely nothing short of breathtaking. The first of the trio took inspiration from the haute couture SS23 collection, magnified by an asymmetrical drape for a delicate showing of skin at the décolletage. The second of the triptych was defined by a contemporary silhouette and pleated neckline, commanding attention even in its simplicity. And the last of the bunch, and arguably our favourite—was an ethereal blooming of floral embroidery in elegant shades of ivory and beige, which Woltemas donned in the rehearsal dinner.
