[Phnom Penh, Cambodia, June 15th, 2024] Today, the much-anticipated Rigger EHS Family Day event was held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. drawing an enthusiastic crowd including riggers, their families, and esteemed guests. This event, aimed at promoting safety awareness and education among riggers and their loved ones, was a resounding success.

The event was honored by the presence of distinguished guests from the Department of Labor and Vocational Training, Mr. Min Bunthoeun and Mr. Ouk Samboroth. Together with the Telecommunications Regulator of Cambodia, Mr. Hun Sothearoth and Mr. Hum Davich. As well as Founder of OSHA Safety Training Center, Mr. Phan Bunthoeun and our corporate partners. Their participation underscored the importance of safety in the telecommunications industry and the commitment to reducing workplace hazards.

The primary purpose of this event was to remind our riggers and their families of the paramount importance of always prioritizing their own safety, especially given the high-risk nature of their jobs. By focusing on the theme of personal safety, our event aimed toward our riggers’ family to be involved and become one part that emphasize their husband and father to work on a safety environment and return home safely to their families every day.

Through various activities and discussions, the event emphasized that safety should never be compromised, and that each individual must take personal responsibility for their well-being while working.

A highlight of the day was a focused safety video presentation and discussion on risk assessment for work at sites, particularly on towers and when working at heights. Expert speakers provided valuable insights into the latest safety protocols and best practices, emphasizing the critical need for rigorous risk assessments to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of workers.

In addition to the informative sessions, the event featured a lively and engaging quiz session for rigger families and children. This interactive segment not only educated attendees about safety measures but also fostered a sense of community and shared responsibility towards maintaining a safe working environment.

The day concluded with an inspiring award ceremony, recognizing 23 outstanding individuals for their exemplary adherence to safety standards and contributions to promoting a culture of safety. These awardees have set a benchmark for others in the industry, demonstrating that safety and excellence go hand in hand.
