On June 12th 2023, Huawei Cambodia has participated in “Workshop on Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Program” organized by General Department of Customs and Excise at National Customs School. The workshop was presided over by H.E. PHA Eng Veng, Deputy Director General of GDCE with around 200 participants including Customs officers and representative from Private sectors. This new program (AEO) is the international standard program according to the World Customs Organization (WCO) SAFE Framework of Standard. The main objective of this event is to publish the implementation of (AEO) program in Cambodia to all private sectors, to raise awareness of benefits of the program and Customs facility in order to facilitate the traders for importation and exportation.
As a company holding “Best Trader Group Member” title, and trusted partner, Huawei Cambodia has been invited and been granted the privilege to be one of the presenter in the event to share the experience and benefit of Best Trader as well as expectation of AEO outcome to interact the event and promote the AEO program more interested.

During the workshop, Mr. Khim Sopheak, representative of Huawei Cambodia, has presented Huawei experience and benefit from obtaining “Best Trader”. It can be seen clearly that “Best Trader” has enhances company reputation and facilitated in custom clearance process and support. For instance, the process is shortened from 8 days to just 1 day and saving cost about 50%. He also further shared experience and best practice of AEO in which Huawei has obtained in other countries such as Malaysia, China, Turkey and so on.
The achievement of the development and official launch of the AEON program is a huge success under the sharp efforts of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia in order meet international standardized trade facilitation in accordance with the principles of the World Customs Organization. Huawei Cambodia is very keen to participate in the implementation of the AEO program.
